History/The Future
The Roy Wilkins Center for Human Relations and Social Justice was founded in 1992 as a joint endeavor of the University of Minnesota and the Roy Wilkins Foundation to continue the Roy Wilkins' legacy of civil rights and social justice.

Models & Programs
The Wilkins Center is developing a model to bring together a broad range of expertise to produce cutting-edge research, influence public policy, and implement viable programs. The model includes four major components.

Global Dialogue
The first and second World Conferences on Racial and Ethnic Economic Inequality expanded the Wilkins Center's dialogue to new colleagues around the world and presented exciting new avenues for research.
